AFID, based in Amadora, is a social institution created in March 14th 1985, dedicated to rehabilitation, education, training and social and professional inclusion of people with disabilities.
In 2005, Fundação AFID Diferença was created. It also develops activities to support the community and proximity services of social solidarity, childhood support, elderly and environmental support. It is the first social institution in Portugal certified by ISO 9001:2001, by Marca ISS, level A, and by EQUASS Excellence.
Nowadays, AFID supports more than 1300 people with 192 workers.
